Gloucester Mean Business with New SME Office Grant Scheme
Through the Gloucester Means Business Grant Scheme, the city council are offering a 50% rent grant of a business’s first year’s basic rent on office space within the City of Gloucester.
The scheme is directly targeted at start-up or expanding businesses, which have either moved into their property in Gloucester within the last 12 months, or are taking up a vacant unit in the city.
Up to ┬ú3,000 per business is on the table, providing the company falls into the council’s criteria.
Businesses must be:
- A start-up business or within the first three years of trading;
- Or, a business from outside of Gloucester (of any age) which is moving into Gloucester for the first time;
- Or, moving from one workplace in Gloucester to another, for growth opportunities in terms of turnover or job creation.
Business must also be able to prove that they have good employment growth prospects, offer community benefit (eg through employment or by offering graduate schemes), and employ less than 150 full-time staff.
Business Link (South West) are working with the council and will meet with eligible companies to discuss their Business Plan, and will then put forward a recommendation to the council.
