Former Dock Warehouse in Liverpool Delivers for Royal Mail
Royal Mail has agreed to take warehouse and office space at the Harrington Building in Liverpool, a Victorian property that was formerly a dock warehouse.
The property, which is located at the Brunswick Business Park opposite the Brunswick train station, was restored in the 1980s by the Merseyside Development Corporation.
Following a complete refurbishment by owners Commercial Estates Group, it now offers extensive industrial, storage and work space.
Royal Mail have reportedly been searching extensively for a new location, and the newly renovated Harrington Building delivers on many key requirements. The postal giant have now agreed to take 22,800 sq ft of space there and plan to use it as a sorting office and for distribution operations.
“Commercial Estates Group has refurbished the building to an extremely high standard,” commented Nick Harrop, partner at joint agents Hitchcock Wright & Partners, as reported on the Liverpool Daily Post.
“Since the refurbishment and re-launch of South Harrington Building, demand for units has been extremely strong.”
