Converted Mill Gains New Office Tenant in LV= Insurance
A grade 2 listed ΓÇ£Folly HallΓÇ¥ mill in Huddersfield which, after sitting derilict for 27 years, was converted into 60,000 sq ft of prime office space has now exceeded the 80% occupancy level following the decision of the LV= insurance firm to create a 24 hour call centre in the historic building.
General Manager of the insurance firms huddersfield operations Simon Stevens, was quoted on thebusinessdesk.co.uk as saying: ΓÇ£We are delighted to be expanding in Huddersfield and providing new jobs in the area. When many other financial companies are making redundancies we are actually expanding.ΓÇ¥
The new jobs in question are expected to total 75 and the addition of LV= as a tenant means that only 13,000 sq ft of the office building remains available to lease.
The neo-classical spinning mill, which dates back to 1844, was purchased by The Jay Tee Group in 2007 before being redeveloped into a modern business centre that still complimented the buildings architectural heritage.
Located in the centre of Huddersfield the Folly Hall office buildings adds to the range of offices in Huddersfield and the surrounding area.
