Chester Set for £115m Business District Development

Chester Set for £115m Business District Development

Muse Developments, the urban regeneration division of the Morgan Sindall group, has been awarded a ┬ú115m contract to construct Chester’s new Central Business District.

Plans for the 3.5 acre site, located adjacently to the railway station, are expected to be submitted early 2012, with an estimated 10 year completion date.

The initial phases of the development will see the construction of 2 multi-level office buildings both providing 6 storeys of space. When finished, the CBD in total will be able to boast over 500,000 square foot of grade A office space, along with a new public precinct complementing the development.

Morgan Sindall’s chief executive, Paul Smith said: “We are delighted to have secured this regeneration scheme for what is set to be an exciting development for Chester”

“Regeneration schemes of this sort offer great potential for the group in the medium-term and represent exciting opportunities to further expand our regeneration activities.”

Throughout Q2 2011 officebroker.com witnessed a rise in enquiries and deals for serviced offices in the North West region of the UK (in comparison with the same period in 2010)
