Two commercial properties, located in Central London, housing 65,000 sq ft of office space have been acquired by the Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP).

The deal, which marks the first SWIP acquisition for 30 months, comprised of 20 Golden Square in Westminster , and Prospero House in SE1. These acquisitions are rumoured to be part of a £100 million UK real estate investment plan. But with demand beginning to recover and rents expected to rise into 2010 they will need to act quickly in order make the most of such investments.

The Golden Square development, purchased from Apperly Properties for £27.1 million consists of 22,000 sq ft of grade II office space. Prospero House, acquired from Dorrington, consists of around 43,000 sq ft of quality office space.
