Business Centre Association Conference Brings Office Space Industry Together
Providers of Serviced Offices and Business Centres from all over the UK were in attendance at this weekΓÇÖs Bca Conference (Business Centre Association) which took place at the Hilton Hotel in LondonΓÇÖs Docklands on Monday 17th & Tuesday 18th May 2010.
The two day event brought together representatives from all areas of the industry, including independent office providers, national and international providers as well as office space equipment suppliers, technologists and of course those from the brokerage community.
As an attendee the event flowed smoothly and was punctuated with a series of interesting and informative talks from the likes of BJ Cunningham and Justin Urquhart Stewart – with the constant opportunity for members of the audience to interact and engage with both these business gurus and important members of the serviced offices market.
Talking with delegates from the companies such Regus, Avanta and Orega, all major players in the office space market here in the UK, the general feeling was that Q1 had shown signs of improvement but that the market still had much room for improvement ΓÇô a trend which was backed-up in the latest Serviced Office Review series from officebroker.com.
Additional points of discussion amongst many providers, particularly smaller independent providers, were the adaption and / or integration of the new technologies that will be entering the industry in the coming months and years. Buzz words included ΓÇ£The CloudΓÇ¥ and how providers will cope with the changing demands of the businesses that utilize serviced offices and the services traditionally offered.
Thanks to Jennifer, Adele and Julie Calder at the Bca for all their hard work during the two day event and for providing the platform for everyone within the industry to come together under one roof.
