Bury Office Space Begins Construction

The amount of Grade A office space in Bury has taken a significant step forward following, with work beginning on a new £1.9m commercial office space development for Property Alliance Group.

Constructed by Russells Construction, a Trafford based building firm whose other office projects include The Pinnacle and Freetrade Exchange in Manchester, the scheme will offer 92,000 sq ft of grade A office space once completed and has already secured its first tenant in the shape of proficiency testing provider LGC Standards.

Speaking to thebusinessdesk.com, Andrew Russell, managing director of Russells Construction, said: ΓÇ£IΓÇÖm delighted Property Alliance has secured its first tenantΓÇ¥ before going on to highlight the wider roll of this office schemes development, ΓÇ£This is part of a major programme of investment in Bury town centre and is a welcome sign that the commercial property market is starting to move againΓÇ¥

ΓÇ£Until recently many schemes have involved refurbishment and renovation rather than new build, but the development of The Green demonstrates there is an appetite for high quality commercial property in good business locations.”

With this pre-let having already secured the occupation some 9,500 sq ft, which will be used as laboratory and office space by LGC Standards, those behind the office space development will hope that more businesses seeking office in the Bury area will follow suit.
