Bizspace ΓÇ£going that extra mileΓÇ¥ for Charity
Across the UK Bizspace employees are taking part in a variety of sporting challenges in order to raise more than £3000 for their chosen charity, The Stroke Association.
BizpaceΓÇÖs operations director Emma Long explained that ΓÇ£team members from our 110 nationwide centres will be taking part in sponsored activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming and rowing during SeptemberΓÇ¥.
ΓÇ£This is a national fundraising campaign, with all Bizspace centres taking part, and we hope that (our) competitive spirit translates into substantial funds raised for The Stroke Association.
James Beeby, head of corporate partnerships for The Stroke Association, has welcomed the initiative saying that, ΓÇ£we are very grateful that the team at Bizspace have made us their chosen charity this year. There are over 20,000 cases of stroke or TIA (mini stroke) each year in the Midlands. These much needed funds will go towards prevention and also facilities that help those that survive strokes, like the new Life After Stroke Centre, opening in Bromsgrove at the end of this year.ΓÇ¥
The charity is the only one in the UK that is solely concerned with helping the victims of stroke, with funding also contributing towards valuable research into developing treatments, improved rehabilitation procedures and prevention.
