Birmingham-based search engine project hits 1 trillion web page mark

Majestic-12, a company based at the Birmingham Science Park Aston, have recently announced their 1 trillion web page milestone. This makes them only the second organisation in the world to publicly pass the 1 trillion mark – Google was the first.

The exact number of web pages found to date is a staggering 1,026,035,494,521.

Matthew Hidderley, Business Development Manager at Birmingham Science Park Aston said:

“This is an excellent achievement by one of our entrepreneurial technology businesses. This further demonstrates the success the innovative business is enjoying. We look forward to further milestones and continuing to support the development of Majestic-12 through to accessing leading technologists in the university base.”
