200,000 sq ft office space development in Nottingham city centre
Development group, Peel Holdings, who have previously created commercial property in Manchester, have secured preliminary planning permission for a new large-scale office scheme in Nottingham.
The Nottingham councillors approved plans for the 200,000 sq ft of office space and a 200-bedroom hotel at the Sovereign House site opposite Nottingham’s city railway station.
Having identified the location as a prime site for new office space they hope that the office property will play an active part in kick-starting the regeneration taking place in Nottingham city centre.
“Despite the recession, we have kept faith in Sovereign House. It will offer something that the city doesn’t have at the moment ΓÇô a commercial address that appeals to London’s ‘out-migrating’ companies who have had enough of the capitals creaking infrastructure” said Richard Mawdsley, development surveyor at Peel, speaking to TheBusinessDesk.
