Office Space in Waterloo to Rent

If you are a fan of Abba or The Kinks, then you will be familiar with Waterloo (or it's sunset) from the popular songs, or perhaps it is Waterloo Station that springs to mind when thinking of the London district - either way, there is a lot more to Waterloo than catchy lyrics and transport. The area is located in Central London, close to Southwark and Lambeth, and is only 1 mile East of Charing Cross. With plenty of transport links, office space and eateries, it is proving to be a popular location.

Transport

Waterloo is a well known London district, once an area made up of marshland and seen as un-usable until it was drained and developed in the 18th century. Perhaps best known for it’s train station, London Waterloo, that lies near the South Bank of the River Thames. The station is the London terminal for South West Trains and provides the majority of routes to South West London and the South of England, with services to Southampton, Portsmouth and Surrey to name a few. Waterloo Station was the terminus for Eurostar trains until 2007, when the service was moved to St Pancras International.

Office Space

Waterloo is home to a business improvement district which is known as Waterloo Quarter, where you can find a number of theatres, including The Cut and The Old Vic. A number of fantastic serviced business centres can be found in Waterloo, with the majority found on the Waterloo Road. Within the district you will find a particularly unique business centre, with an Alice in Wonderland theme and grade A office space to let. The enchanting workspace is perfect for creative businesses or those just wanting something a little out of the ordinary. Most workspace in Waterloo is based within modern properties that are part of the areas redevelopment and proximity to the railway station is a real plus point.

Out & About

A number of restaurants can be found in Waterloo, popular with commuters, office workers, tourists and locals. Cheap and cheerful cafes are open early for traditional full english breakfasts, with Marie’s cafe and the Chunnel Bar proving popular venues. For fine dining and woo-ing clients, you have Skylon, overlooking the River Thames and one of the districts most celebrates eateries. For those wanting a swanky cocktail bar, Waterloo may not be the best option, but there are a number of excellent pubs and bars that more than suffice.
