Background
Named after Queen Victoria, this small London district mostly comprises of residential and commercial properties, with shop fronts limited to the main streets. Victoria Station, built in 1861, is London’s second busiest transport hub and offers excellent connections to the wider London area as well as the rest of the UK. The station is ideally located in the epicentre of the business district and is well known for being the departure point of the Orient Express on its London to Venice trip. Pimlico and Belgravia are both nearby, offering a change of scenery and known for their garden squares and regency architecture.

Working In Victoria
If you are looking for a well-connected location, close to amenities and with an instantly recognisable address, this could be the perfect base for your business. The area is particularly popular with travel and tourism businesses taking advantage of the transport links, nearby embassy’s and tourist hotspots such as Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and West End Theatres. Nearby Waterloo, well-recognised for its lack of available office space, is only a short walk from anywhere in the district, making this a very common choice with those who want close proximity to Waterloo without the battle for space. The majority of office buildings can be found on Victoria Street and Grosvenor Gardens, both offering excellent amenities for staff and within walking distance of transport links, with a number of serviced offices boasting fantastic views of nearby landmarks such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Shard and on a clear day, Canary Wharf. Notable names in the area include Transport For London, Smith’s Group, Microsoft and Experian.

Getting Here
Victoria is a fantastic transport hub, highlighted by transport For London (TFL) basing their HQ in the district. It offers excellent connections via the Gatwick Express, allowing access to Gatwick Airport in 20 minutes, with trains running up to four times an hour. The area is well connected by overland and tube, with the Victoria Line linking you to Euston Station in only three stops, with journey times to Birmingham totalling just 1 hour 15 minutes. Victoria Coach Station, the largest in London, is conveniently situated just a short walk from the Train Station, and offers regular coach and bus services around The City and throughout the country.

Future Plans
The coming months will see vast development of Victoria, an area ear marked for development by the Mayor, bringing new offices and amenities to the area. Mill Bank Tower is rumoured to have applied for a mixed use development, changing a percentage of its floors into residential apartments. The Victoria skyline will also be evolving, with Battersea Power Station being transformed into retail and commercial office space hub and the American Embassy will be re-locating to the area.
