Originally launched in April 2010 by officebroker.com’s co-founder and Managing Director, Jim Venables, the Business Centre of the Month award is designed to recognise UK centres that offer a stimulating work environment for clients, a high level of service, and that maintain consistent communications with the officebroker.com team.

Kicking off the New Year as 2011’s very first Business Centre of the Month award-winner is The Beehive, located in a former terminal building at Gatwick Airport.

Operated by serviced office provider Orega Ltd, which now manages nine business centres throughout the UK, The Beehive is a modern business centre in a landmark building that served as one of the UKΓÇÖs first airport terminals.

Its round appearance and history as the world’s first circular terminal make it a favourite with aviation enthusiasts and architects alike, while the business centre itself – which has recently undergone extensive refurbishment work – is hugely popular with clients based on its quality fit-out and the high level of service offered.

Client Jeff Watts from eLan Group, who has been using various serviced offices in the area for five years, commented that becoming a client of Orega was “by far the best business decision” that he made in 2010.

Along with plenty of praise from clients, the centre has attracted positive feedback from the officebroker.com team, including Chris Meredith, Head of UK Sales. Chris oversees all activity in the Sales department and values the importance of relationships.

The centre has been recently refurbished

Account Manager Craig Stewart, who is responsible for office space enquiries in Gatwick and the surrounding areas, singled out Orega’s Regional Sales Manager Linda Burton, praising her prompt feedback and efficient communication methods.

“She is an absolute star and great to work with,” Craig said. “She knows the area really well and is always bending over backwards for others. The Beehive is a fantastic centre and I regularly hear great feedback about it. Linda has really made it her own.”

Communication between Orega and officebroker.com continues well beyond the Sales team, and includes other departments such as Finance and also Marketing. In this case, Orega regularly supplies new developments, press releases and photo updates to the Marketing team, which not only keeps the building pages fresh and up-to-date, but also enables officebroker.com to market the buildings more effectively and ultimately raise awareness of the industry.
