Launched in April 2010, officebroker.com’s Business Centre of the Month award is designed to recognise and celebrate business centres that have shown outstanding customer service, created a stimulating business environment for clients, and that work consistently well with the officebroker.com team.
In February, The Old Rectory – a Glenfield-based centre operated by dbs Managed Offices – scooped the award based on its high level of customer service, which has earned the centre plenty of praise from tenants.
Among those who provided glowing feedback of the centre was Steve Spicer from Teaching Personnel Leicester, who says that customer service is “absolutely top notch”, while Ben Kerslake from Standard Life said: “The centre is run professionally, but with the warmth and friendliness that makes it a pleasure to work in.”
Service aside, another key element that secured The Old Rectory as officebroker.com’s Business Centre of the Month winner is the team’s drive to keep the centre constantly moving forward. A recent refurbishment and the introduction of a new bistro has been well appreciated by clients, as it has opened up the space and now allows clients to hold informal meetings there.
Client Ben Kerslake commented that the refurbishment has “enhanced the already pleasant working environment”, adding that the bistro and car park extension are “welcome additions” to the centre.

But it is not just clients that have described the business centre in glowing terms. officebroker.com’s Account Manager Craig Stewart, who handles enquiries for the area, says that the building itself offers a high quality working environment for clients but believes that the jewel in the crown is Centre Manager Nicky Severs.
“She is ultra-professional and by far one of the best and most dedicated centre managers that I work with,” Craig commented.
“Nicky really carries the centre. Her service is second to none and she is always very prompt, returning my calls and giving post-tour feedback. But it goes beyond that – at Christmas she was out in the car park shovelling snow, and she is often out sweeping up fallen leaves or tidying up the front entrance.”
So important is it that the business centre team works well with their Account Manager at officebroker.com that it is one of the key criteria of becoming officebroker.com’s Business Centre of the Month. This is to ensure that communication flows freely between both centre staff and officebroker.com Account Managers, allowing the client to receive accurate information to help them reach an informed decision about their new office space.

Lesley commented that dbs Managed Offices, which also operates another centre in Castle Donington, have been established for 20 years and have “developed and evolved their offering with the ever changing requirements of businesses.”

Lesley concluded that with all the support services dbs also provide, there is no organisation too large or too small who would not find the dbs offering valuable to them, their business and their staff.
