The number of businesses moving into serviced office space across Yorkshire & Humberside remained within 1% of 2010 levels during the course of 2011 - despite a 9% decrease in enquiry levels.
Published in the Serviced Office Review, the quarterly research series from officebroker, it is also shown that the size of office required by serviced office tenants increased – rising from an average of 3 workstations in 2010 to 3.8 workstations in 2011.
The impact of this increased workstation demand means that the overall volume of serviced office space secured across the region during 2011 increased by 25%. While volume increased however, the average cost per serviced office workstation remained largely unchanged – within £1 of 2010 levels at £168 per workstation per month.
Commitment levels also remained consistent in Yorkshire & Humberside, with the initial licence length of 9 months recorded throughout 2011 being equal to that recorded over the same 12 month period of 2010.
