A science and technology park in Runcorn that provides serviced office space has received the go-ahead for expansion.
The existing set-up caters specifically for businesses from the science and technology sectors, and this new development will bring 11,000 sq ft of laboratory and office space in a single-storey building, along with state-of-the-art facilities.
The new property forms part of a multi-million pound expansion and development scheme at the business park that was kicked off in 2009, and is the second in a series of proposed new buildings.
Carol Thomas, Finance Director of SOG, said:
"We are delighted to be pushing ahead with a further exciting new research and development facility which will provide a base for more highly skilled jobs. It is another example of The Heath Business and Technical Park's ethos of nurturing talent and a boost to the further development of high-tech business in Halton."
The new building is expected to be completed and operational by early 2013.
The serviced office space available at this business park recently featured in a video, available to view online, which explores the park and shows numerous facilities ranging from office facilities and meeting rooms right through to the on-site café.
