£120m Eco Development planned for Dudley

Plans for an £120m innovative redevelopment of an industrial estate in the Black Country could create over 1000 jobs.

If approved, the scheme will see a neglected 66 acre Dudley industrial estate transformed into a state of the art business centre, delivering commercial space in addition to new retail and residential buildings.

Furthermore, plans for an onsite recycling centre and renewable electricity generator providing low carbon energy will greatly enhance the sustainability of the site, aptly named The Coseley Eco Park.

Skelton Group Investments are behind the plans, with director Graham Willson describing the proposal as “truly sustainable” adding “the scheme has been backed by the local community, who are asking us for the new jobs, new homes and new investment that will put the area back on the map.”

“Even at this early stage in the process, we’ve had significant interest from businesses who hope to locate here and create new jobs. Submitting our outline plans to the council is a significant step towards achieving this.”

The council is expected to vote on the plans early next year, which if approved could see development work start in 2013.
