Manchester Office Market Set for Boost

The office space market in Manchester is expected to receive a major boost this week, with the largest office letting of the year only days away from being signed according to leading property magazine Property Week.

Focused on Bruntwood’s City Tower, the deal would see Aegis take 36,000 sq. ft. of office space as part of a major inward investment deal, with the IT and Services firm hoping to double its presence to 70,000 sq. ft. during the next 4 years.

Considered a sign of confidence in the economy of Manchester, the move is expected to create over 350 jobs and will double the amount of grade A office space let in Manchester since the beginning of 2011.

Based on data from the UK’s leading online broker officebroker.com, another area of Manchester’s office market due to report positive news is the 53 location strong serviced office sector.

In the Q2 edition of the firm’s city centre research, City Focus: Manchester*, a 35% increase will be reported in the number of new businesses entering serviced offices across the City Centre since the beginning of 2011. The report will also show that the average price paid per workstation and license length to have increased.
