A survey of 500 UK executives by Barclays has revealed that only 41% of small businesses in the UK plan to create new job opportunities in 2011, with the return of sales led growth seen as a forerunner to any future job creation.
In many areas across the UK however, the opening month of 2011 has seen businesses with larger office space requirements flood the market – suggesting that while businesses are showing a lack of enthusiasm on paper, the reality is that many businesses are accommodating, or preparing to accommodate a greater number of employees.
