officebroker.com has just released the latest regional report in the series of Serviced Office Reviews.
The South East review for Q1 2010 shows that workstation costs have risen by 9% when compared to the same quarter in 2009, increasing by an average of £25 to £277 per workstation, per month.
The overall quarterly increase of +9% during Q1 2010 represents the first sustained increase in average workstation prices for the South East since 2008, having declined by an average of -23% quarter-on-quarter during 2009.
Month by month analysis shows that within Q1 2010, February produced the most significant increase with a rise of 22% when compared to the same month last year. January produced +18%, but the average workstation cost in March dropped by -11%.
This overall uplift in workstation rates places the average cost per person for serviced office space in the South East above the national average of £242.00 - for the first time since Q1 09.
Other key findings from the South East Serviced Office Review include:
Enquiries for serviced office space in the South East during the first quarter of 2010 have shown significant improvement, with an increase of 38% when compared to Q1 2009. This is the second consecutive quarter where enquiries have risen (Q4 2009 produced a 7% increase), representing a positive outlook for the region.
