Free office space scheme - Hello Northwest - receives first tenant

A free office space scheme launched earlier this year, which was set up to attract international investment and to create local jobs, has received its first tenant - German company P3 Igenieurgesellschaft mbH.

Through the Hello Northwest scheme, the company have set up a UK base at Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, based to the South-West of Warrington in Cheshire.

The initiative has been developed through a partnership between the NWDA, investment and development agencies for the Liverpool City Region and Manchester, The Mersey Partnership and MIDAS, and a number of serviced office providers.

Steven Broomhead, Chief Executive of the NWDA, said:

"The Hello Northwest scheme is proving to be very popular and I am delighted to welcome P3's location to Daresbury SIC as part of the scheme, which is a great example of the economic benefits the project can generate.

"Through giving overseas investors the opportunity to test what the region has to offer, it aims to build on the region’s strong track record for inward investment to secure more overseas investment."

John Leake, General Manager, Daresbury SIC said:

"P3ec Ltd's decision to locate at Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus opens up a number of exciting opportunities for the company, ranging from membership of our growing network of like-minded innovators to ready access to complementary technology markets. The Campus' links into the aerospace, automotive, advanced engineering and digital/telecommunications sectors will prove particularly valuable."
