City Council office buildings top “Team Nottingham” agenda at MIPIM property show

Nottingham is amongst the many cities taking up a temporary tenancy in the South of France this week at the annual annual MIPIM property show.

Alongside many of regional representatives from the UK, “Team Nottingham” will be seeking to present the city as a “the best city in the midlands to invest”. During the four day show the team will seek to promote both the City of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as a prime location for investors to spend their cash.

And in their attempts to bring property investment to the city in the likes of new office buildings and commercial properties, 2010 appears to hold far better prospects than this time last year if the intentions of those with the money follow that of comments reported in The Times today. In the article one Barclays banker was quoted as saying ”There are bankers here who want to spend a lot of money”.

But will the bar side talk turn to real deals for the UK’s regional representatives?

One of “Team Nottingham’s” key objectives at MIPIM will be promoting the possibilities of the six soon to be vacated City Council buildings as well as the new business district, Southside.
