A major city centre office development in Leeds city centre, which has been a 30-year dream for businesswoman Jan Fletcher, has finally been submitted for planning application.
The project involves plans to build ten new high-rise properties in the centre of Leeds, along with a 25-storey tower in Leeds called 'City One'.
Jan Fletcher of Montpellier Estates has developed and submitted the plans, which includes buildings ranging from nine storeys upwards. The complex is designed for both residential and office space, with a total of 296 apartments and up to 200,000 sq metres of Grade A office space in Leeds city centre.
There will also be space for retail units, restaurants, a hotel and casino.
If approved, the site could bring a new urban quarter to the city, which would be located in the areas of Sweet Street, Meadow Road, Jack Lane, Trent Street and Bowling Green Terrace.
