Three New Office Buildings Planned for East Edinburgh

Three new office buildings providing a total of 64,500 sq ft of office space have been revealed as part of the plans for a £30 million business park in east Edinburgh.

Mike Rutterford, who heads up the consortium of owners, was quoted in Property Week as saying; "There is major gap in the provision of premier business and leisure space at the eastern gateway to the city of Edinburgh, especially when you consider the large number of commuters living in East Lothian and the Borders.

The development, dubbed Lothian Park, also proposes the building of a 120 bedroom hotel as part of the 12.4 acre project and Eric Young & Co and CB Richard Ellis are marketing the development.

The office space planned for Lothian Park is intended as the first phase of development for the area located adjacent to the Old Graighall Junction of the City Bypass and A1.

If the viability of the site materialises as planned, it may present an attractive location for serviced office providers to establish new businesses centres in the area, adding to the existing ranges of serviced offices available in and around Edinburgh.
