The “Turun Sampotalo” property located in Turka, Finland has be purchased by Aberdeen European Balanced Property Fund from REDEVCO.
Aberdeen, who have been specialising in targeting property in Belgium, Finland, France and the Netherlands acquired the building for an undisclosed fee and is the companies second Finnish purchase in recent months after also adding the Chydenia-I shopping centre in Kokkola, Finland to its portfolio.
The latest purchase, “Turan Sampotalo”, is located on the central shopping street in Turka and at the heart of the Central Business District. Built in 1938 it offers 104,380 sq ft of prime office space Turka which is currently leased.
Commenting on the purchase in a press release Nico Tates, Fund Manager to the Aberdeen European Balanced Property Fund commented:
“We are delighted to add this core retail and office investment in Turku to our portfolio. The combination of a long office lease with a strong covenant and a prime retail location meets the investment requirements of the Aberdeen European Balanced Property Fund.”
