14 New Grade "A" Office Building for Coventry?

As reported in the Birmingham Post Commercial Property section, councillors in Coventry have met in order to discuss an influx of developments within the city.

The developments discussed in the meeting, which provide encouraging signs for the city, ran to an estimated value of around £2 billion and would transform large areas of the Coventry city centre.

Amongst the proposals presented to councillors was the Cannon Kirk’s Friargate scheme which would feature 14 grade “A“ office buildings as well as two hotels, new homes in addition to a range of restaurants and bars.

The development is the “master plan” of architectural firm Allies and Morrison who list previous urban redevelopment schemes such as Kings Cross Central and the BBC Media Village in White city as their projects.

While Coventry office space is plentiful, the addition of high-grade building such as those proposed by Allies and Morrison will certainly help to attract quality businesses to the city.
