According to a report in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Wilton Developments, a Harrogate based property developer, has received planning permission for a new office scheme in Leeds city centre.
As part of a re-development scheme, 10 South Parade will provide 36,000 sq ft of high quality, Grade A office space and provide an injection of confidence and quality to the commercial heart of the city.
Jason Stowe, managing director of Wilton Developments was quoted as saying: "In the context of the current market, the development of 10 South Parade reflects our confidence and commitment to Leeds."
This vote of confidence seems well placed with a number of interested potential clients having already shown an interest in the property.
In addition to the prominent position of the building it will also benefit from basement parking upon completion – an attractive prospect given its city centre location.
Support for the project has been received from Property Consultants Knight Frank, with Guy Cooke (of Knight Frank) stating: "Wilton's decision to undertake the speculative development of 10 South Parade is great news for the Leeds market and will offer occupiers a truly stunning space."
