In an investigation by officebroker.com, Birmingham has proved to be the most popular location for small businesses seeking office space with just one workstation.

Enquiries are currently up 37% this year when compared to 2008, which suggests possible growth in the small business sector and a rise in the number of self-employed individuals and start-up ventures in the UK.

Of this figure, Birmingham was the most popular location for enquiries for single office space throughout 2009 to date (January - November). This was followed with some distance by Manchester (North West) with 62% and the third-place NW postcode area of Greater London with 105%.
