Plans have been drawn up for a new office space and housing development in Binfield, a town near Bracknell just east of Reading, which would also include a new primary school and improvements to the transport network.

Local residents will have their say in a public viewing of the plans, which will be available on the Bracknell Forest Council's website - www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk.

Amen Corner in Binfield has been earmarked as the potential site for the development, which includes up to 35,000 metres of office space. Located in a rural location just outside of the larger town of Bracknell, and less than half an hour away from Reading, the site would offer a convenient location for businesses.

As part of the scheme, improvements to the local transport network would also be undertaken, which could add value to the proposed office space scheme.

A number of other improvements have been earmarked, including local libraries and the Farley Wood Community Centre - which would likely benefit from an extension, increased parking and play areas, and an upgrade to the existing sports pitches and tennis courts.

Bracknell Forest Council is now making detailed analysis of the infrastructure requirements, including roads, sewers, schools and leisure areas.

According to local news source Get Bracknell, Councillor Mary Ballin, executive member of planning and transportation, said:

"We have looked at this area for development many times over the years and I fully support the decision to consult the people in areas sensitive to this development."
