A new office space scheme in Staines has been given the go-ahead by Spelthorne Council, for the development of 300,000 sq ft of offices in the town.
This reportedly comes after a year of consultation with the Council. As well as office space, the scheme is also set to include residential and retail space, along with a hotel and amenity use.
Majestic House, the site of the proposed developments, surrounds a publicly accessible plaza fronting the town's High Street. A new link road will be constructed as part of the plan, which will allow access to basement car parking.
According to Property Week, two separate companies are seeking office space in Staines - including energy company Centrica, who recently took over 100 workstations in serviced offices there.
Centrica is now reportedly seeking 100,000 sq ft of new long-term office space in the town, while Astellas Pharma is also looking for 100,000 sq ft of space within a 15 mile radius of Staines.
