Packington Hall, a former mansion near Lichfield which has more recently been used as office space, is to be put up for sale at the Bigwood auction sales on Tuesday, October 6th, in the Holte Suite at Villa Park.

According to the Birmingham Post, the property, which dates back to the 18th century, is located in an attractive rural setting and was designed by James Wyatt.

Bigwood director Ian Tudor said:

"Packington Hall has had strong historic links with many of Staffordshire's leading families over the centuries."

He adds, "We are already getting strong interest from viewers with a sense of vision to acquire one of central England's former country mansions perhaps as prestigious office space, a hotel, a spa or as luxury apartments."
