Leeds City Council has recently permitted the first phase go-ahead of an £80m mixed-use office and business park in Garforth, near Leeds.
The 70-acre site was purchased from Prudential in March 2008 and is owned by CalEast Global Logistics, and development partner Barwood Developments.
The scheme will provide office space, industrial and warehouse space and could create up to 2,000 jobs.
According to online reports, Alan Rudge, chairman of Northampton-based Barwood Developments, said:
"Hawks Park is now open and ready for business and provides a tremendous opportunity for expanding, relocating and new businesses in Yorkshire and beyond.
"We have already had excellent support from Leeds City Council and regional development agency Yorkshire Forward and we are looking forward to working together with them to deliver this prime and sustainable employment site for Yorkshire."
