A new non-stop daily service between Manchester and JFK airport in New York has been announced by American Airlines. The route will start on 16th May and will continue until 30th September, 2010.
Boeing 757-200 aircrafts that have been reconfigured for international operations will transport passengers on the new route, each one offering 182 seats, and 16 lie-flat Business Class seats.
In an online press release, Craig Kreeger, American Airlines's Senior Vice President - International, said:
"These new routes further demonstrate American's commitment to the UK market and build upon our Manchester operation," adding, "We believe this new service to New York will prove equally popular providing a great connection not only to one of the world's most exciting cities but also to the many destinations we serve from JFK."
Those travelling in Business Class can look forward to fully motorised lie-flat seats, complete with drop down armrests, and in-seat audio and video on demand. Economy passengers will have increased leg room, comfortable reclining seats, and brand new 17 inch LCD monitors for in-flight audio and video.
