Ten Alps, a North-West media company which was founded by Bob Geldof, has recently expanded its operations by launching an office in Singapore. The firm currently has UK offices in Manchester and Macclesfield.
As reported by TheBusinessDesk, Ten Alps acquired Asian company Uproar Productions for a reported figure of £562,000, and aims to use Uproar's Singapore operation as the foundation of Ten Alps Asia.
Ten Alps' chief executive Alex Connock said:
"This is a first step in a plan to leverage our content and communications skills into the fast-growing Asian markets, where we believe factual TV production, publishing and communications services in offline and online media are strong opportunities."
Sarah Macdonald - who previously worked for BBC's Newsnight and Channel 4's Dispatches - will stay with Ten Alps and head its office in Singapore.
