A report by officebroker.com, published today, shows that enquiries for serviced office space in Birmingham are performing well, despite the continued effects of the recession.
Although Birmingham office space enquiries for 2009 were down in the first quarter and the start of the second quarter, compared with the same period in 2008, the figures show a positive upward curve which continues from February until July. Further improvement is expected for the rest of Q3 if enquiries continue to increase based on the current figures.
Possible reasons behind the strength of office space enquiries in Birmingham could be related to the average cost per desk (also known as a workstation). Our report finds that over the first half of 2009, the average monthly cost per person for an office in Birmingham was £251, which offers an average saving per person of £88 when compared with last year's Q1 and Q2 cost, standing at £339 per person.
