As reported in our blog, Barclays Commercial Bank has recently taken office space in Manchester's popular Spinningfields region. Now, the global banking firm has made a prestigious office at Snowhill in Birmingham its new Midlands headquarters.

As the first occupier of the property, Barclays has acquired 98,000 sq ft of office space in a 15-year lease. The building is currently at its first phase of development, with state-of-the-art facilities right next to the city's Snow Hill Station.

According to a report by the Birmingham Post, Ray O'Donoghue, managing director of Barclays Commercial Bank in the Midlands, said:

"Our move to Snow Hill is one of the biggest investments we have made in property in the UK and reaffirms our commitment to the city. It will provide us with 40 per cent more office space than we currently have over multiple sites and offer an excellent environment for both our colleagues and customers in the Midlands."
