Lift in parking restrictions could boost Greater London office space market

A plan to relax parking restrictions in Greater London could dramatically improve the office space market in areas outside of the capital, according to a report by Property Week.

The Outer London Commission have completed a report to analyse the consequences of relaxing the parking rules. A more flexible system could increase the area's competitiveness.

According to Property Week's review, London mayor Boris Johnson said:

"We must ensure we put in place policies that grasp every opportunity to unleash outer London's full potential. I look forward to receiving the Commission's final report, but there is no time to lose and we will begin now to look at how we can align our economic strategies to best support our valuable town centres."
