College to relocate to business park near Glasgow

Coatbridge College is due to move its entire campus to the Strathclyde Business Park, near Glasgow, in reportedly the largest out of town serviced office deal so far this year. The location will be the college's home for at least 2 years, until a multi-million pound project to re-develop the existing campus has been completed in 2011.

Coatbridge College employs over 300 staff members and has 7,000 students. Principal and Chief Executive of Coatbridge College, John Doyle, said that the new location was necessary in order to "minimise disruption to students, staff and contractors."

In addition to renting serviced office space and amenities within the business park, the college will also bring evening courses and commercial dental services to the staff on site. The dental college is set to remain in the business park on a long term basis, even after the original campus project has been completed.
