A London office is now joint owned between Hammerson and the Oman Investment Fund - an investment arm of the Government of Oman. The property, located in Bishops Square, was partly developed by Hammerson back in 2005.
The property's office space is currently let to a law firm under a traditional lease, which is reported to expire in 2030. As reported on the Hammerson website, John Richards, Chief Executive of Hammerson, said:
"We are delighted to be partnering the Oman Investment Fund in this new joint venture. This transaction has allowed us to further strengthen the Group's balance sheet whilst retaining a significant stake in one of London's best office buildings."
