A Brazilian exchange company, BM&F Bovespa, is due to open offices in London in July 2009 to help encourage greater foreign participation in its sector. The exchange is the result of a business merger back in 2007, and shares are reported to have risen by 90 per cent since the start of the year.
The company is said to have experienced rapid expansion and is continuing to show healthy growth, despite today’s economic climate. The move is good news not just for the exchange, but for our London office market too.
