Office space in demand - 08/04/2008
Research by officebroker.com which works with 97% of the UK's serviced office space providers and landlords, provided a snapshot of the country's commercial property market in 2007.
The areas that received the highest number of enquiries included parts of Greater London, followed by Birmingham and then Manchester.
Cambridge made it to 11th position in the top 20 compiled by officebroker.com, co-owned by entrepreneurs Jim Venables and Andy Haywood.
Mr Venables, managing director, said: "Cambridge continues to thrive as a business
destination, helped by its strong knowledge-based economy, proximity to London and situation in the heart of the East Anglian countryside."We saw 2007 revenues in Cambridge increase by 88% on 2006 figures."

On top of this, IT companies, and in particular, software companies, have been expanding rapidly"
