New World Trade Center Becomes Tallest Building

As work progresses next to the site of the World Trade Centers, the new One World Trade Center – otherwise known as ‘Freedom Tower’ – has taken its place as the tallest building in New York City.

The building now reaches 1,271 feet, equalling the height of the original One World Trade Center tower that was destroyed along with its twin in the attacks of September 11th 2001.
