This was the centrepiece of the city's promotion at the Mipim property show in March which saw Nottingham field a 60 strong delegation of sponsors and partners. They helped push the £3.5 billion regeneration programme and the investment opportunities in the Eastside, Southside and Waterside schemes.
Marc Cole, the Chief Executive of Nottingham Regeneration, said: "We want to bring regional, national and international developers and investors to Nottingham to let them experience the excellent opportunities."
For example, there is Nottingham Science Park where the first building opens this year Eastside and the success of Miller Birch's ng2 Business Park in attracting occupiers such as Experian and HBOS.
A recent survey by officebroker.com showed that demand for serviced office space in Nottingham has taken the city into a top 10
commercial property hotspot, officebroker's Jim Venables said: "Nottingham has undergone some major regeneration, a growing population and is encouraging more companies to set up business in the city."
Coventry has also made big strides forward recently as shown by Stoford Development's plans for the £45 million 15,799 sq.metres (170,000 sq.ft.) headquarters for Severn Trent, Stoford, a local developer, has become increasingly active in the Midlands and has invested £3 million in upgrading three offices in Hagley Road, Edgbaston, to Grade A standard after buying them for £17 million in conjunction with GE Real Estate. Through DTZ and King Sturge it has let a small office suite at £145.26 a sq.metre (£13.50 a sq.ft.).
